Changing lives one child at a time in Haiti
The Power of Education Foundation creates access to both high quality education and high quality primary healthcare for children in Haiti through partnerships with local community leaders. The people of Haiti are very proud, resourceful and eager to improve their own lives. Our work is not intended to create a situation of dependence on foreign assistance, but rather to empower the community to sustain the school on its own.
Our core belief is that only the people of Haiti can create sustainable change in their country and that access to high quality education is the pathway to empower them to do so. We work with local leaders to create venture capital so that the school operations can be sustained over time with small scale business operations. This approach builds the economic base in the community and provides a stable income to Haitians.
