This site has a series of short videos on topics such as primary education, hunger, disease and the environment.  The videos are a nice way to introduce the topics to students.  Students can also sign petitions in support of policies aimed at ending extreme poverty.

Citizen Kid Central
This website contains simple, yet effective lessons on topics such as poverty, children’s rights, microfinance, food security and poverty.  They also have a blog and links to good children’s books that match with these topics.  You can find a children’s version of the Convention on the rights of the child.

This is an educational program for middle and high school students, focuses on the root causes of hunger and poverty, the people most affected, solutions, and how students can help.
