Elementary Lessons

Daily Life in Haiti:  Micka's Story - This ready to use PowerPoint Digital Story Book will encourage lively and throughful conversation and learning about the students' own daily life circumstances as compared to students in Haiti. Middle School Lessons

Interactive Lessons on the Languages of Haiti - This fun and easy to use lesson teaches about Human Characteristics of the people of Haiti (who speak both French and Creole.) Take students beyond what they see in the news about Haiti. Students will hear the Creole language and discuss questions of class and poverty. Oil Drum Art Lesson - Want a fun hands on lesson for your MS art class or Western Hemisphere class? Are you teaching about recycling in your class? This lesson includes a link to a great video showing how Haitian artists have creating a unique style of art using recycled goods. Students will create an original art piece using a tin can. High School Lessons

Debate on Poverty in Haiti - Has the US helped contribute to Haiti's overwhelming poverty? What is our responsibility to our neighbor to the south?
